So who am I?
Shree (rhymes with tree) is how I introduce myself, though I yearn for a world that does not require my joke to pronounce my name correctly; one day.
A forever student of the world, always comfortable asking “why” even though most people struggle with their own impatience.
A military brat, very used to chaos, upheaval, and lack of stability. Moving homes, living out of suitcases/boxes/car, video calling friends and family, multi-lingual, hella cultured, all because of the experiences of being a military brat.
High standards, low expectations. Guided by my moral compass and trustworthy gut. Foodie, active, energetic, dubbed the “Party Khala” aka Party Aunt, born with the adventure bug, not willing to settle, over-committer, #1 cheerleader for my people, experimenter, always laughing…these are ways I describe me and have been described. To be vulnerable is dangerous and grounding. Salud!
